Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the world and are related to lifestyles.

Material and methods: A retrospective and cross-sectional study is carried out on 10327 professional drivers from different Spanish regions. Different variables and scales related to cardiovascular risk are assessed.

Results: 27.38% of drivers are obese, 30.04% are hypertensive, 62.38% have high waist / height index values. 77.47% are considered non-metabolically healthy, 19.83% have metabolic syndrome with the NCEP-ATPIII criteria and 25.75% with the IDF criteria. 22.50% have moderate or high values in the REGICOR scale.

Conclusions: We consider that the cardiovascular risk of our drivers is high, since most of the variables analyzed have a very high prevalence of altered values.
