This study was carried out in Seyhan Dam Lake (Adana) between April 2004 and March 2005. The lenght and sex distribution, age-lenght, age-weight, lenght-weight relationship and condition factor according to age and sex groups of 157 roach caught from Seyhan Dam Lake were determined. Age group ranged between I-IV age groups for this species in the dam lake with the second yer class (59.86%) dominating, the percentages of males and females in the population were 52.23% and 47.77%. Fork lenght distribution of Rutilus rutilus ranged between 13.5 cm and 24 cm weight distribution between and 34.41 g. and 260.04 g. Growth equations in the females were calculated as W=0.0055xL3.318 in the males as W= 0.0894xL2.3521 and for all individuals W=0.0293xL2.747. The average condition factor of R. rutilus was 1.404 ±0.26 for females, 1.472 ±0.24 for males.
