Giant uterine leiomyomasare very rare and exhibit atypical clinical presentations. To date, there is only one case reported in a patient with musculardystrophy. However, there is no literature on tailored post-operative nursing care in patients where musculardystrophy is complicated by a concurrent giant uterine leiomyoma. Here we present a case with a giant uterine leiomyoma and progressive musculardystrophy. Tailored post-operative nursing care was delivered according to the specificity of the patient. These nursing care plan included continuous monitoring of the patient’s post-operative vital signs, thorough airway management, complementary nursing care using Chinese traditional medicine, nursing care to prevent aspiration pneumonia, infection, and lower extremity venous thromboembolism, pelvic floor muscle training exercises, and psychosocial care. The post-operative nursing care dramatically improved the patient’s condition after 16 days of hospitalization, and the patient was discharged from the hospital with a high degree of satisfaction.
