I am delighted to introduce Health Science Journal (HSJ) a rapid peer reviewed bimonthly Journal which is one of the most emerging fields in the present scenario. Health Science is a multidisciplinary field that aims to disseminate information, scholarship experience in education, practice and investigation between health status and quality of care for individuals, families and communities. Health Science Journal aims to supply scientists of health with resources in order to provide the scientific knowledge through the publication of peer-reviewed, high quality, scientific papers and other material on all topics related to Medical biochemistry, Biotechnology, Health engineering, Epidemiology, Genetics, Nursing, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Public health, Psychology, Physical therapy and Medicine.
The New Year promises many exciting developments for Health Science Journal (HSJ). Popularity of the HSJ can be ascertained by the reader’s interest, curiosity and support, which is estimated from the response we have been receiving from diverse geographical regions all across the world. This is further ratified by the Google Analytics metrics that analyses and releases our reader’s profile from time to time and the total numbers of page views are 19863. Moreover, the number of citations per year continues its robust rise as articles enjoy increasingly broad dissemination. The journal is now getting indexed in different academic forums. All these are promising signs. Congratulations to all of our Editorial Board members, reviewers, authors and readers for achieving this distinction.
I am delighted to mention that during the year 2019, all 6 issues of volume 13 were published online well within the time and is successfully running its 14th Volume. During the calendar year 2019, a total of two Editors, Ten Reviewers joined the board of HSJ and contributed their valuable services towards contribution as well as publication of articles, and their valuable reviewer comments will beneficial to publish quality of article in the Journal.
The journal is indexed and abstracted in the following databases: Cosmos, Index Copernicus, ProQuest, EM Care, Google Scholar, Current Abstracts, Crossref, EBSCO, WorldCat, Ulrich’s International Periodicals Directory and endorsed by Hellenic Society of Nursing Research and Education.
We welcome papers from diverse disciplines such as epidemiology, public health, Nursing, health economics, and Medicine. Priority will be given to theoretical, empirical and policy driven papers. The journal will also publish special issues on current topics. In order to publish up-to-date, high-quality and original research, HSJ aspires to coin a special issue-2020 on Coronavirus disease pandemic. Therefore, Editorial Board members of HSJ are decided special issue title as “Catching and Spreading Coronavirus (social distancing)”. The topics to be covered under this are
• Novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak
• Public Health and Environmental Policies
• Disease Tracking
• Clinical trials
• Modeling & Environmental Epidemiology
Authors are cordially invited to submit their current research activities and outcomes in the form of any article type of science communication such as original research, review, expert opinion, commentary, short note communication to our Journal.
Manuscripts can be submitted online via Editorial Tracking System or as an E-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at healthsci@ emedicalsci.org or healthscij@emedscience.org. HSJ is using Online Review and Editorial Tracking Systems for quality review process and the authors can submit manuscripts and track their progress.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank current editorial board members for their ongoing commitment to the standards to which the journal aspires. During the last two years these board members have handled the large majority of first-round submissions. As a result we have significantly expanded our pool of excellent reviewers, average turnaround times have decreased; most papers now have at least two reviews and their quality has been steadily improving.
We look forward to work with all of you as we continue to make Health Science Journal a success and we welcome your submissions, as well as feedback as authors, readers, and reviewers of the journal.
