Biography

Professor Mehmet Borga Ergonul mainly interested in fish biology and aquatic toxicology/environmental monitoring. He is working on the development of a fish-based index to assess the ecological quality of rivers in Turkey. He is interested in developing a fish-based typology for running waters. He is also involved in a project which is carried out by our laboratory; the phytoremediation of aquatic macrophytes for the removal of toxic heavy metals and nanoparticles.
