Biography

Dr. Somprakas Basu is a Associate Professor,Department of General Surgery, Institite of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.He graduated from Kolkata University India in 1990 and was awarded the order of merit for first position in Surgery in the University. He completed post-graduation in Surgery (MS) in 1998 from Delhi University India. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine UK, International College of Surgeons USA and Association of Surgeons of India, and is an active member of Indian Medical Association, Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, Association of Colorectal Surgeons of India, Association of the Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland and Indian Society of Wound Management.
