Oronzo Brunetti graduated cum laude in 2008 from the University of Bari School of Medicine, Bari, Italy. Since graduation, he has become involved in studies on translational research in solid tumors. Since 2014, he is a member of AIOM (the Italian Association of Medical Oncology). Since 2015, he is a member of the Italian Group for Diagnosis and Treatment of Biliary Cancer (GICO). From 2016 he has been involved in the elaboration of guidelines of exocrine pancreatic carcinoma for the AIOM. He has published 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals, most of them on gastrointestinal cancers. He is actually involved a research project for identification of prognostic/predictive biomarkers in pancreatic, biliary, and hepatocellular cancer.
