Dr. Iyoob Ilyas is a colorectal and general surgeon with special interests in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery and trans anal microscopic surgery. His clinical interests also include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and advanced endoscopy. He earned his medical degree and post graduate training in surgery from India. He then trained and worked at University of Oxford in England, Cleveland Clinic and University of Arizona. He completed his colorectal fellowship and advanced robotic surgery training from Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. He is a board certified in Colorectal Surgery and General Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has multiple publications, presentations and book chapters to his credit. He is particularly interested in outcome-based research which would translate into and modify clinical surgical practice.
