Tsogtbaatar Byambaa, PhD
Director of Public Health Institute (PHI) of Mongolia
Dr. Tsogtbaatar Byambaa earned his PhD from the Faculty of Health Sciences of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. He received his MSc in Health Administration and International Health Policy from University of Colorado in 2005. Tsogtbaatar is a family physician by background who has worked on several public health projects in Mongolia, including serving as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis project officer for the Global Fund in Mongolia. He has worked as a Project Coordinator for the CIHR funded Equity-Focused Health Impact Assessment Tools and Methodologies in Mongolia: Supporting and Scaling-Up Local Experiences project.
His research interest focuses on managing the potentially adverse public health consequences of development sector in developing settings and promoting the health in all policy (HiAP) concepts. He serves as Director of Public Health Institute (PHI) of Mongolia.
