This lecture presents the definitions of Depleted Uranium U238, sources and biokinetics of Uranium inside human body and its effects as heavy metal and radioactive matter on human body vital systems. Also presentation include the classical method for U estimation upon internal exposure using blood samples, then a definition of the patent, diagrams of the practical work, what are the patent scientific and economic aims, and the results that improved the classical method via a comparison between the old and new method of estimation. Finally a recommendation set by the patent team.
Dr.Weam Saad Al-Hamadany has completed her PhD at the age of 35 from Baghdad University/ College of Science/ Microbiology Dept in 2011. She became an Assistant Professor since 2014, has a patent recorded in 2017, published more than 20 scientific research and supervised many postgraduate students. She is now a member of the editorial board in several scientific journals, has more than 40 presentations in scientific Lectures and Conferences.
