Background: Treatment of the aging neck in women is usually straightforward; however, this is not the case in men. Many men are wary of the stigmata associated with a facelift. Some just don't care about rejuvenation of the lower face and only want the neck addressed. Noninvasive and minimally invasive modalities are available but may offer limited efficacy in certain types of patients. A technique for addressing the aging neck in men with excess skin with her without excess muscle and adiposity will be presented.
Method: Proper patient selection, pertinent anatomy, surgical technique and postoperative care will be presented.
Results: Evolution of the healing process over time as well as complications will be presented.
Conclusion: With proper patient selection and technique, the Grecian Urn cervicomentoplasty is a powerful tool to treat the aging neck in men.
Content: A surgical technique to address the aging neck in men with excess skin with or without excess muscle or adiposity will be presented as an alternative to the traditional lower facelift.
