Abstract:

To assess the effect of Training NANDA-I Nursing Diagnosis, Nursing Interventions Classification, and Nursing Outcomes Classification (NNN system), on the nursing care related to Patient safety, in the psychiatric wards. In a Randomized controlled trial, 80 nurses were selected and assigned randomly in Control and Experimental groups. Nurses documented reports were reviewed and analyzed. The intervention of the study is the training of NNN system based on recognition of signs, symptoms and etiology of the important phenomena in the psychiatric wards to choose the correct nursing diagnoses and choosing appropriate nursing interventions in order to achieve expected nursing outcomes. The control group use the NNN system (N=34), before and after the intervention, While the Experimental group use, increased from (N=26) to (N=434). NNN system Training, improves the nursing care related to patient safety in the psychiatric wards.
