In the training of specialists in plastic surgery, it is becoming more demanding, to get them to acquire knowledge and expertise in some subjects of the specialty. In this search, we have turned our residents into experts in a surgical technique, but we forgot that the fundamental basic science in plastic surgery is anatomy. I always say that our specialty has no anatomical limit, and what we actually do every day, is applied anatomy. In search of perfecting our pedagogy, we have invented a novel method in being able to teach them three-dimensional anatomy, joining the descriptive and surgical anatomy, to create a solid and useful knowledge. So I hope to move from technician to teacher in plastic surgery. This method was converted to a course, a beginning for residents in plastic surgery, but the idea is to be able to help a specialist in our guild and others who are interested.
