Abstract:

The demand for cosmetic surgery of the vulvar region has experienced in recent years an increase exponentially related to the change of certain habits of life, the influence of new trends, the increased flow of information via the internet and the media, but also to the continuous search of aesthetic improvement and enhancement of the female body in all its aspects. The author goes over some salient details of the most common surgical techniques aimed at improving the appearance of the vulvar region, proposing certain personal devices, in particular on the methods for the reduction and/or the symmetrisation of the labia minora, as well as to remodelling and re-proportioning the labia majora.
