    Quercetin's Angiogenic Factor Production Inhibition: Potential Therapeutic Implications

    Angiogenesis, the process of new blood vessel formation, plays a crucial role in various physiological and pathological conditions, including wound healing, embryonic development and tumor progression. Dysregulated angiogenesis is implicated in several diseases, including cancer, diabetic retinopathy and inflammatory disorders. Consequently, targeting angiogenesis has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy. In recent years, natural compounds have gained attention for their potential anti-angiogenic properties. Among them, quercetin, a flavonoid abundantly found in fruits, vegetables and beverages, has garnered significant interest due to its diverse pharmacological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer effects.
