    Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) for Metabolic Disorders Current Insights and Therapeutic Potential

    Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has emerged as a novel therapeutic approach for a variety of gastrointestinal and systemic conditions by restoring microbial diversity and modulating gut microbiota composition. Increasing evidence suggests that the gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of metabolic disorders, including obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D), and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). FMT, which involves transferring fecal matter from a healthy donor to a recipient, has been shown to influence metabolic homeostasis by altering gut microbiota composition, improving insulin sensitivity, and modulating inflammatory pathways.
