Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Understanding the Complex Autoimmune Disease

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), commonly known as lupus, is a
chronic autoimmune disease characterized by a dysregulated immune
system attacking healthy tissues and organs. This article provides an
overview of the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options
for lupus. The etiology of lupus involves genetic, hormonal, and
environmental factors, although the exact cause remains unknown.
