Staphylococcus aureus: A Microbial Mastermind

Staphylococcus aureus, a gram positive bacterium, has long
been recognized as a significant human pathogen capable of
causing a wide range of infections. This abstract provides an
overview of the key aspects of Staphylococcus aureus,
including its morphology, pathogenesis, antibiotic resistance,
and clinical significance. Staphylococcus aureus is a spherical
bacterium that forms clusters, characterized by its golden
colored colonies on agar plates. It is part of the normal flora
on human skin and mucous membranes, yet it can swiftly
transition from a commensal organism to an opportunistic
pathogen, causing infections in various body sites. This
